The current phase in this ongoing investigation, which has counted since 2004 with the endorsement of the Ministry of Health of Luxembourg and with the support of Pfizer, Inc. and which produced 4 reports in 2007 (the Cox Report) at the Helsinki Conference, is preparing 2 in-depth studies, on:
- The future of managing chronic diseases in Europe, and
- The future of health technology assessment (HTA) in Europe.
This work is being led by Prof. Dr. Reinhard Busse of the European Observatory on Health Systems and Policies, and the University of Technology, Berlin (for the CDM report), and by Prof. Dr. Panos Kanavos of the London School of Economics (for the HTA report).
The reports will be launched as one document aimed at European policy makers at an invitation-only Conference in Prague for 200 guests on 17/18 February 2009. For more information and to register for the Prague conference click below.
